Cotality Collateral Investigate production release: Rule builder, review workflow, and artifact enhancements

Sep. 9, 2026. This PROD release delivers enhancements to review workflows, rule management, findings management, reconciliation, helpdesk administration, and finalization capabilities. The update also includes usability improvements, rule refinements, and fixes to improve workflow accuracy, platform stability, and overall user experience.

What's new

Rule builder enhancements

• Introduced the first phase of rule editing capabilities, allowing users to modify rules created within Rule Builder.

Review workflow enhancements

• Added a Return to Reviewer option under the More Options menu on the Order Details page, providing additional flexibility during the review process.

Final artifact enhancements

• Users can now specify the order of sections within final artifacts, allowing greater control over report presentation.

• Updated reconciliation artifacts to provide improved content and organization within final review packages.

Helpdesk enhancements

• Added enhanced diagnostic capabilities that provide additional review and findings information to support troubleshooting and investigation activities.

• FATAL severity findings are now restricted to the Main page to improve consistency and review accuracy.

• Findings lists have been optimized to use available screen space more effectively.

• Incorporated rule analysis updates to improve rule quality, consistency, and overall accuracy.

• Manually added findings are now displayed in a single location to improve organization and reduce duplication.

Rule and review enhancements

• Updated comp age rules to improve evaluation accuracy and consistency.

• Improved sorting behavior within Review Findings to provide a more consistent and intuitive user experience.

• Renamed the Word Search rule category to better align with overall rule categorization standards.

Tiering and workflow improvements

• Enhanced forced tiering behavior to ensure orders route to the intended review tier.

• Escalation controls are now automatically disabled when no escalation path has been configured.

• Tier configuration screens provide a clearer workflow experience through updated actions and messaging.

• Removed unnecessary informational messaging from tier configuration workflows.

Helpdesk and administration updates

• Standardized collateral client selection across Helpdesk screens to provide a more consistent experience.

• Improved authentication and session management to enhance platform reliability and security.

• Enhanced collateral client selection controls to improve usability and data entry behavior.

User experience improvements

• Updated revision request guidance text to provide clearer instructions for reviewers.

• Enhanced message rendering to properly display formatting and line breaks within message content.

• Removed the obsolete Complete option from the Change Status workflow.

What's fixed

• Fixed maximum-length handling for final comments across all review workflows.

• Fixed an issue where auto-reviewed orders only received the first configured PDF artifact instead of all configured artifacts.

• Fixed an issue where Review Findings sorting did not consistently refresh or apply the expected severity ordering.

• Fixed an issue where ROV resubmission findings were not properly filtered for tier-based clients.

• Fixed an issue where users without checklist permissions could receive error messages when editing tier configurations.

• Fixed an issue where permission changes were not immediately reflected in active user sessions.

• Fixed a file viewer issue that could display a 404 error when files were unavailable.

• Fixed tooltip behavior when checklist requirements prevented review finalization.

• Fixed an issue that allowed final comment edits to continue after a review had already been finalized.

• Fixed UAD 3.6 ZIP validation issues that could prevent valid submissions from being processed successfully.

• Fixed reconciliation artifact generation to properly limit output to the intended sections.

• Fixed issues affecting the display and management of findings in review workflows.

• Fixed various workflow, usability, and platform stability issues to improve overall system reliability.

New feature screenshots

Use the Edit button on rules built with the Rule builder to fully edit any field except the Rule ID.

Choose the order in which sections of the Review artifact display using the arrows beside each section.

You can now return escalated reviewers to a previous tier and reviewer through More options from the Order details screen. Select a Previous reviewer from the dropdown in the modal.
